Marta H. Mena-Bernal is a Spanish-Scandinavian artist based in Malmö, Sweden. Born in Seville in 1988, she became a nomad after the 2008 economic crisis, traveling across Spain to navigate uncertain times, until she eventually moved to Sweden in 2014 to explore new opportunities.

Her art first gained recognition after being published as illustrations by the Swedish publishing house Rand in 2024.

Mena-Bernal’s work spans a variety of styles and mediums, including surrealist and abstract paintings, whimsical ceramic sculptures, and philosophical texts and poetry.

A self-taught artist, her work reflects the struggles and resilience shaped by her personal experiences, positioning her art within the realm of Outsider Art.
